Summary: Take flight in your very own pirate ship that really does magically leave the ground and soar over vast views of London and Neverland! This ride particularly holds a warm place in many guests’ hearts with its particular feeling of magic and pixie dust throughout the attraction. There’s an unmatched air in this place as you soar by Peter Pan battling Captain Hook, the Mermaid Lagoon, and the Pirates aboard the Jolly Roger.
Our Opinion: This may just very well be Amanda’s most favorite ride in Magic Kingdom (maybe alongside Splash Mountain.) There’s something about this ride that holds a bit of magic not even touched by other attractions even with its simplicity.
Trivia: The technology that lifts the individual, pirate-ship vehicles was patented by Disney and soon adopted by many factories world-wide to move product on a track in the ceiling rather than the floor.
