Countries We Think Are Missing from Epcot's World Showcase
There is no denying that Epcot displays a ton of countries around the world. They do a great job at doing so. Have you ever wondered which countries you would add if you had the choice though? We certainly did! Anthony and I have compiled a list of some of our favorite countries in the world that we think would be a nice addition to the park’s atmosphere.
Our first one is obviously Australia. Everyone mentions this at some point in this conversation about World Showcase additions. Still, we do have to agree. The outback would be an incredible aspect to adventure within a pavilion.
In our next one, we suggested Russia and Ukraine. Yes, they are both very different in a lot of ways. However, a bird’s eye view brings out the bright colors, the grandeur, and the fine artistic elements of these cultures. Honestly, we would be happy if either one of these showed up in the showcase. What’s more, can you imagine a little museum like the one in Norway with Faberge Eggs inside the building? It would be amazing! Annndd… you know Anastasia is technically a Disney princess now with the acquisition of 20th Century Fox. Yep. this would be a cool area to have in Epcot.
Now, would somewhere tropical be amazing to integrate into a space around the lagoon there? Anthony mentioned Jamaica as the one he would want to see there. Amanda brought up Fiji. Either one would be a pretty unique area in comparison to the countries that are on display there now.
We will just say one word here and then let you stop to picture it—Egypt. … … … Can you already see it? The sphinx. The pyramids. The dessert. What a country to let imagineers run with!
The last one that we will mention here is India. From the food (seriously, the food is phenomenal), to the atmosphere, to the architecture, this country would stand apart from every other one. There are just so many things they could do with a pavilion like that in Epcot. Plus, we would probably spend all of our money there on the food. Don’t tell our bank account that we want this to happen. Shhhh…
